Athletics ends on a high in Kozhikode

Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) resumed action in Kozhikode as all the track and field events finally concluded on the third day of Athletics in the city.

After successfully hosting Athletics in cities like Delhi, Chandigarh and Chennai, RFYS moved to South India and looked for emerging young talent in the field of Athletics in Kozhikode. On the third and final day, Abhimanyu of St. Berchmans' College started the proceedings with a run that bagged him the Gold Medal in the 200m College Boys Final.

The highlight of the day was the when Lizbeth collected double accolades in the Senior Girls Category, finishing top of the podium in Long Jump and Triple Jump. Field events like the Senior Boys Triple Jump, Senior Boys High Jump and Senior Girls Triple Jump to name among other events also got done and dusted on the third day.

After all the events concluded, it was time for the Award Ceremony where the young athletes were rewarded for their accomplishments across various track and field events. Mar Basil HSS, Kothamangalam, walked away with the award for the best institute as their athletes were the top performers at the venue.
