RFYS Athletics comes to a momentous end!

After a wonderful journey that spanned eight cities, Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) concluded with the Athletics National Championship in Mumbai.

It was a gathering of athletes from all across the country, who were given a golden opportunity to travel to Mumbai and showcase their skills. The two-day event saw hundreds of City Champions take part and compete in various track and field events. The moment finally arrived as an extravagant event, spanning two days, came to an end. The Sports Authority of India played host to Champions from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kozhikode, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata.

The second and final day of the National Championship saw events such as the 100m Final across all the categories conclude. Other track and field events included the Junior Boys Long Jump, 4x400m Relay and the 800m Final to name a few. The standout winners of the day were Jai Bhoir and Therese Joseph, representing Karamveer Bhaurao Patil College, Mumbai. With a timing of 22.54 seconds in the Senior Boys 200m Final, Jai acquired the Gold Medal through sheer pace and brilliance. Therese Joseph finished off a fantastic run by winning the Gold Medal in the 800m College Girls Final.
