Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) 2018-19 is set to kickstart and it is well on-course to become one of the largest grassroots sporting events in India. Football and Athletics will once again be in the spotlight and this year, the tournament will be organized in 27 cities as compared to 17 in the previous year. The registrations for RFYS 2018-19 are going on in full swing and one can enroll via their institute. Read on to know why one should register for this tournament. 

Scholarship opportunities
RFYS provides scholarship opportunities to every student athlete who excels in his/her field. Over the past two years, scholarships and prize money worth over Rs. 90 lacs have been awarded to elite athletes. 

Scouting festivals
Scouts from ISL clubs and teams from across the country will be present to pick up hot prospects throughout the tournament. There can be no better example than Ajith Sivan, the RFYS prodigy who played in the inaugural season and then, got selected for Kerala Blasters FC from Indian Super League in 2017.

High-performance camps
The top athletes who prove themselves in our tournament stand a chance to attend high-performance camps. The elite athletes have the skill and talent to make it to the top stage but what they need is guidance. Professional match-day experience
The meticulous work on the stadiums and the overall infrastructure of venues makes this tournament one of the most well-structured tournaments in the country. The presence of federation accredited referees who officiate in all the football matches makes the competition completely transparent. Additionally, there’s also a disciplinary committee which ensures fair play and resolves issues in a just manner. The tournament ensures the City Championship finals, Zonal matches and the National Championship matches are live streamed on Facebook as well as on the RFYS website.

Digital database
Rfyouthsports.com maintains a digital database of all athletes participating in the tournament. From institute to individual athletes, RFYS keeps a track of all the statistics which can be used to analyze performances in the tournament. Athletes can also access the video section on the website to watch match highlights and improve their game.
