RFYS Football 2018-19 is in its final and the most significant days

Malabar Special Police HSS secured a berth in the final following a 2-0 victory over Rosary HSS. Pratap E notched his second goal of the match from close range to double Kozhikode’s champions lead. They will face Shillong College HSS in the final on 7th January.

That concludes today’s play and we have our two finalists in Junior Boys and Senior Boys category. Here are the teams that will take the field on 7th to compete for the trophy:

1. Maharana Pratap Sports College (Dehradun) – Junior Boys finalists

2. Chowbaga High School (Kolkata) – Junior Boys finalists

3. Shillong College HSS (Shillong) – Senior Boys finalists

4. Malabar Special Police HSS (Kozhikode) – Senior Boys finalists

Malabar Special Police HSS have had a lively start to the game and are finally rewarded through Prathap E who opens the scoring for them yet again. Prathap E has been in hot goal scoring form the whole tournament and this may just be the most important one he has scored for his team.

Guided by Freestar’s brace, Shillong College HSS advanced to the RFYS championship finals in the Senior Boys category with a 2-0 victory against Gangadharpur Vidyamandir. They will face the winner of the fixture between Malabar Special Police HSS and Rosary HSS. The match is set to kick off, watch it live.

It’s all square at the break in the Senior Boys semi final clash between Shillong College HSS and Gangadharpur Vidyamandir as both teams seek a breakthrough. It’s been an even half with both teams having hit the woodwork once each. Huge forty-five minutes coming up. Watch the second half live.

Chowbaga High School’s talisman, MD Sumit, was decisive in yet another game as he opened the scoring with an impressive free-kick. From that point, CHS did not look in any danger of losing the lead as they controlled the game throughout. The champions of Kolkata have progressed to the final where they will face Maharana Pratap Sports College.

Full time update: Maharana Pratap Sports College overcome Vedas International School in a cagey affair to make their way to the final. With yet another victory, MPSC extend their unbeaten streak in the National Championship to four games. They will either play Chowbaga High School or St. Anthony’s HSS in the final on 7th January.

The first fixture between Maharana Pratap Sports College and Vedas International School is in its second half. A delightful corner by Wajid Ali which was met by a towering header from Neeraj Negi has MPSC in the lead. Watch the the game here.

RFYS Football 2018-19 is in its final and the most significant days.
