High Scoring fixtures feature on an exciting Saturday

The Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) Football Tournament held fixtures in six cities on an eventful Saturday.

The day began in the city of Mumbai where Shri G.P.M. Degree College and Chetana H.S. College engaged in an enthralling penalty shootout. Shri G.P.M College won the game 3-0, courtesy some unbelievable misses by Chetana H.S College in the shootout. Pralhadrai Dalmia Lions College eased past M.L. Dahanukar College by a scoreline of 2-0.

In Ahmedabad, the game between Faculty of Commerce and J.G. College produced a total of seven goals. Faculty of Commerce had the upper hand throughout the game and won the match 5-2. Sachin Jain, the young defender from J.G. College was the Player of The Match for his defensive solidarity.

It was a goal-scoring fiesta in Goa, where more than thirty goals were scored and a lot of exciting matches featured. The School Girls of Rosary Higher Secondary School earned a triumphant 7-0 victory over Regina Mundi High School. Fr. Agnel High School defeated Santa Cruz High School as they scored six goals past their opponents and kept a clean sheet. M.E.S. College of Arts and Commerce scored three impressive goals in their 3-0 win over Don Bosco College of Engineering.

SS +2 High School were 10-1 winners over D.A.V. Public School in Jamshedpur. Striker Rajesh Murmu scored an astounding eight goals and was rightly the Player of The Match. Sidhu Kanu Sikdhaniketan High School got a well-deserved 4-2 win over Vidya Bharti High School.

In Kolkata, Kasba Chittaranjan High School were a happy bunch after their 6-0 triumph over M.S Model High School. Mawngap district Christian Multipurpose Higher Secondary School registered an imposing 4-1 win against Pynthorumkhrah Presbyterian Secondary School in the city of Shillong.
