Commencement of the East Zone 2 Championships

Reliance Foundation Youth Sports also continued with the South Zone 2 Championships.

The first match was in the Senior Boys category, where Kapasdanga Satin Sen Vidyapith ran riot in their game against CMJKM Intercollege. A convincing 9-1 win featured a hat-trick from the Player of the Match Tarak Hambram. The second encounter featured the School girls of Chaturdash Palli High School, who put in an incredible performance to emerge 10-0 winners on the day. Jamshedpur Womens College were not even given a sniff of a chance as Shrabani Kayal bagged 4 goals to her name.

Big goal margins were the trend of the day as Gangadharpur Vidyamandir put six past S.P Intercollege without conceding a single goal in return. Arpan Seth showed his vital clinical skills in front of the goal to pick up a brace and get his team over the line.

Last game of the day saw Netaji Nagar Day College triumph over A.B.M College with a 5-0 victory. What was unique about the win was that five different players registered their names on the scoresheet.

The 2nd day of the South Zone 2 Championships saw Evaans Matric Hr. Sec. School and Telangana Sports School pick up some vital victories to strengthen their positions in the league table. An early goal was the difference as P.S Senior Sec. School held on to their slender 1-0 lead to take home the all important three points against a very organised Telangana Sports School.
