Day 60: RFYS 2018-19

Today is another special day of sports at RFYS Football and Athletics tournament. Mumbai is hosting the final day of RFYS Athletics City Championship, along with the league stage football at Reliance Corporate Park, Ghansoli.

In Mumbai, the Senior Girls are lining up to start their 400m finals. To see how other events have panned out, visit Athletics Results. In Kolkata’s football fixture, Nima Lama’s 36th minute strike was enough to give St. Joseph & Marys School a victory over Kailash Vidyamandir.

Athletics in Mumbai saw Aditya Volvolkar from Jnyan Vikas School Goa clock 12.07 sec to win the 100m race. In Ludhiana’s Senior Boys football match, Punjab Convent Sr. Sec. School battled from a goal behind to win the game 2-1 against Govt. Sr. Sec. School Dakha.

In the second semifinal of the day in Ahmedabad, Hiramani School edged past Anand Niketan School Shilaj Campus to win 2-1 in the Senior Boys category. In another league game in the city, Junior Boys of Hiramani School trounced Mahatma Gandhi International School 8-0.

100m races wrapped up in Junior Girls and Junior Boys categories in Mumbai. While Udayachal High School's Harita Bhadra clocked 12.64s to clinch the gold in Junior Girls, the same insitute's Horace Castelino finished first in Junior Boys.

Shillong College turned things around drastically in the second half to emerge victorious in the Senior Boys category. They won the game 5-0 over Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. To know how the game panned out, visit Match Centre.

The second final of the day between Senior Boys of Shillong College HSS and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is underway and Shillong College started attacking right from the word go. JNV were happy to sit back and wait for their opportunity to counter-attack. As of now, none of the team has been able to break the deadlock. Watch the match live at Live streaming link

So close to a dramatic turn-around! St. Anthony's were leading 3-1 when the game headed into the stoppage time. A precise corner and Om Roy Memorial's captain headed on in the back of the net and the game was alive again. Somehow, St. Anthony's managed to survive those last two minutes and now the celebrations are on! They are the champions of Shillong in Junior Boys category.

St. Anthony's HSS are marginally leading against their tough opponents, Om Roy Memorial HSS. This is a tightly contested game where St. Anthony's capitalized on two early goals but their opponents are giving in everything to get back into the game.
Meanwhile, Ahmedabad hosted its first Semi-Final at Sal College ground. School Girls of Delhi Public School are the first finalists with their 3-1 victory over Eklavya School.

It is the kick-off time for Junior Boys of Shillong. St. Anthony's HSS will be facing Om Roy Memorial HSS to challenge for the cup. In athletics, Mumbai has started with 2000m Final event for Junior Girls.
