Greetings and welcome to today's live blog! The third and final day of Athletics National Championship has commenced in Mumbai.

That’s a wrap to Day 73 of RFYS! After 3 days of intense action, RFYS Athletics National Championship 2018-19 concluded! If there ever were any doubts about India’s immense talent pool in Athletics, then the 3-day event debunked it, as the youngsters led from the front and showed the country’s future is bright. In Football, Mumbai’s College Boys clash saw Thakur College overpower South Indian Association 18-0. Mayur Dilip Suvare was adjudged the man of the match for a whopping 7 goals performance. In Goa’s Senior Boys encounter, Rosary HSS recorded an emphatic 7-0 victory over Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School and advanced to the final.

In the final event of the day in RFYS Athletics National Championship 2018-19, Uttam Inter College’s Sweety Verma completed her double! She bagged the gold medal in Junior Girls 100m with an impressive timing of 12.36 seconds and clocked 25.54 seconds to claim the gold medal in 200m. Watch the presentation on, Facebook page.

In Goa’s Junior Boys clash, Rosary High School are through to the finals following a 1-0 victory over Regina Martyrum High School, courtesy of Ajay Raj M’s 7th minute strike. In track and field action, St. Michaels Academy’s Joy Alexis R, raced to Junior Boys 100m victory by clocking 11.14 sec.

Govt. Sports High School see off Kendriya Vidyalya Jalahalli West 4-1, thanks to two goals in the first 15 minutes from Hemanth S and Tejas Sutar. Although, Pranav A was able to pull one back before the break, Govt. Sports High School added two more goals in the second half to secure the victory in Bengaluru’s Junior Boys fixture. In track and field, the final session of the day is underway.

In track and field, Govt Boys High School Unit -IX won the 4x100m Junior Boys relay with an incredible timing of 46.70 seconds. The athletes now head into break, action resumes at 2:00 PM. Stay tuned for more updates and catch all the proceeding live on our Facebook page.

What a comeback! After conceding two goals, BJB Junior College’s Ghaneswar Sidu and Jagannath Murmu both scored to force penalties against Kalinga Institute of Social Science-School in Bhubaneswar’s Senior Boys semi-final encounter. To see how the match panned out, visit Bhubaneswar Match Centre.

In track and field action, Kusum Devi Inter College’s Amit Singh bagged the gold medal with a massive jump of 6.62m in Sub-Junior Boys Long jump. In football, Telangana Sports School produced a comprehensive and commanding 4-0 win over The Progress High School in Hyderabad’s Junior Boys clash.

First event of the day in RFYS National Athletics Championship saw the College Boys compete in 5000m. Santosh Yadav, from, Barrackpore Rastra Guru Surendra Nath College, claimed the top spot on the podium with relative ease by clocking 15:33.15 minutes.
