A day leaving many on the edge of their seats

As games continued across multiple venues on Sunday, what stood out was the competitiveness, with narrow goal margins and moments of brilliance being the key.

Heading to Ahmedabad first, where the game between Divine Child International School and Shanti Asiatic School went right down to the wire. After the deadlock could not be broken during normal time, Penalty Shootouts were called upon to settle this one. Eventually it was Divine International who managed to keep their nerves when it mattered the most to emerge 3-2 winners in the shootout. Shanti Asiatic must have been left devastated with the eventual outcome of the game.

In the other game in Ahmedabad, Navrachana University left it late to take the narrowest of victories against New LJ College. They held on in the dying moments to emerge 2-1 winners on the day and New LJ College disappointed at the outcome.

Pune saw late drama as well, where MIT College of Engineering fought back to half the deficit against Zeal Education Society, Zeal College Pune. But it could only turn out to be a mere consolation as Mohan Yuvraj Patil’s strike was enough to see his team over the line. The full-time whistle saw Zeal Education Society, Zeal College Pune win 2-1 versus MIT College of Engineering.

Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research had in slightly easier in their game against Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering. A goal, either half was enough for Symbiosis to sail through to a 2-0 victory with Kushaang Vrajesh Asti picking up the Player of the Match award for his brilliant brace.
