All geared up for the Athletics National Championship

With the action in Kolkata coming to an end, Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) is all set to gear up for its National Championship in Athletics, which will be taking place in Mumbai. Today’s action began with the Junior Boys 200m heats and swiftly moved on to other events like the College Boys High Jump Final and the College Girls 800m Final to name a few. Rama Malik of Ramnarayanpur SCS Vidya Niketan struck Gold in the 200m Junior Girls final. The reverse fixture in the 200m Senior Boys final saw Mihir Malakar, representing Sarsuna High School, finish on top of the podium. Rabindranath Singh from Charuchandra College recorded a jump distance of 6.43 metres in the College Boys category.

After successfully hosting athletics in eight cities, RFYS moves on to Mumbai where it will host the National Championship to crown its ultimate champions. With all the winners travelling to Mumbai, the final leg of the competition promises to bring out the best upcoming talent from all over the country.
