Bengaluru FC shine with a thumping victory in the 1st Leg of the first Semi-Final as they inch closer to the Final of the RFDL National Championship 2025-26.
The GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim witnessed absolute carnage as Bengaluru FC dismantled Kerala Blasters FC with a staggering 7-0 victory in Leg 1 of the RFDL National Championship Semi-finals. The Shillong leg toppers proved exactly why they are the team to beat, delivering a masterclass in aerial dominance and clinical finishing.
The onslaught began early with captain Serto Kom finding the net in the 10th minute with a powerful header. Adil doubled the lead in the 24th minute with another clinical header, followed closely by Cyrus Abhilash, who converted a 29th-minute tap-in, thanks to a splendid assist from the captain. By the 34th minute, Serto secured his brace with yet another header, leaving the Blasters reeling before the break.
The second half offered no respite. An own goal in the 71st minute compounded Kerala Blaster's misery before Nee Hang added a sixth with a 75th-minute tap-in. The final nail in the coffin came in the 81st minute as Ngangbam Surajkumar Singh rose to thump home the fourth header of the match. With a seven-goal cushion, Bengaluru FC has essentially punched their ticket to the final, leaving the opposition in the dust of a historic demolition.

The GMC Athletic Stadium was painted orange as FC Goa secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Punjab FC in the RFDL second semi-final, Leg 1. The Young Gaurs delivered a clinical performance, leaving Punjab with a massive mountain to climb.
The breakthrough came in the 35th minute when Asher Rodrigues powered home a superb flying header. Later in the second half, FC Goa doubled their lead in the 55th minute via a Prachit Gaonkar tap-in. The pressure intensified just five minutes later as Konsam Akash calmly converted a 60th-minute penalty.
The rout was completed in the 69th minute when Shaikh Mohamad Ismail clinically scored the fourth goal via ultimate precision and accuracy. With a commanding four-goal cushion, FC Goa has firmly seized control of their path to the Final of the National Championship.
Day one of the RFDL National Championship Semi-finals saw a combined 11-0 scoreline, as Bengaluru FC and FC Goa asserted total dominance. Bengaluru’s 7-0 demolition of Kerala Blasters and FC Goa’s clinical 4-0 shutout of Punjab FC have left their opponents with insurmountable mountains to climb. With both Group A giants securing massive clean-sheet cushions, a heavyweight final showdown seems inevitable.
