RFYS Games Continue to Enthrall

It was yet another exciting day at Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) as the football games were held across Kochi, Guwahati, Chennai, Delhi and Pune. Kochi’s Maharaja’s College in Ernakulum hosted two Junior Boys games today. In the first game, SDPY KPMHS defeated Government High School by a seven goal margin. The second game was also one-sided, as MAHSS overpowered St. Peter’s HSS by scoring six goals and conceding none.

Jatiya Vidyalaya scored twice in the first half to zoom ahead of The Scholar School in their Junior Boys game in Guwahati. Jatiya Vidyalaya scored again just after the break to gain a 3-0 lead. The Scholar School showed signs of resurgence as they found the back of the net however, they did not manage to score more goals and ended up as the losing side.

The Loyola College ground in Chennai hosted three College Boys matches. SRM University went head to head against Guru Nanak College in the day’s first game. The closely-fought first half went SRM University’s way as they managed to score a goal in the 23rd minute. The second half was in contrast with the first one as SRM University scored four goals before the full-time whistle to win 5-0.

Prof. Dhanapalan College of Arts & Science dominated their game against The New College winning it 8-1. Goals were hard to score in the competitive match involving SSN College of Engineering and Sri Ramachandra University. 36th minute goal gave Sri Ramachandra University the lead however, SSN College of Engineering’s 59th minute equalizer locked both teams at 1-1. Their game ended with the same scoreline.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Father Agnel, Tagore International School, Cambridge School, Sanskriti School and Apeejay School won their Senior Boys games in Delhi. Eicher Public School defeated St. Paul's Diocesan School by a 20-0 scoreline whereas Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, Sri Venkateshwar International School, N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Tagore International School and Salwan Public School won their Junior Boys games.

RFYS Games Continue to Enthrall

SRPF and Pune Police grounds hosted Thursday’s College Boys game in Pune. The game involving Pune Vidhyarthi Griha's College of Engineering & Technology and AISSMS College of Hotel Management presented a 1-1 draw whereas the Padmashree Dr. DY Patil A.C.S Sr. College vs Nowrosjee Wadia College encounter ended with a 0-0 scoreline.

College of Engineering Pune, Poona College of Arts Science & Commerce, MAEER'S MIT Institute of Design, Spicer Adventist University and Indira College of Commerce & Science emerged victorious in the remaining games.
