Day 76: RFYS 2018-19

Another week at RFYS begins! While Goa and Bhubaneswar will conduct the city finals, regular footballing fixtures will continue in seven other cities.

Our Lady of the Rosary Higher Secondary School came up trumps in the last city final of the day in Goa to become the School Girls champions. Meanwhile, Faith Higher Secondary School trounced St Xaviers Gandhinagar 9-0 to seal a place in the School Girls final of Ahmedabad. That concludes another exciting day at RFYS 2018-19. Ahmedabad’s Delhi Public School are through to the Junior Boys final, following a 2-1 comeback win against Vrajbhoomi International School. A goal in both halves from Syed Abdul ensured Hyderabad's Glendale Academy get through to the semi-final, beating The Future Kids School.
 
4:00 PM 
Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences secured the top prize in Bhubaneswar’s College Boys final. A dominant second half display paved the way to their comfortable 3-0 victory over Ravenshaw University. To find out results from other cities, visit Football Results.

Fr Agnel scored two goals in the second half to shut out Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies 3-1 to lift Goa’s Senior Boys Championship. Bhubaneswar’s Junior Boys finals was a fantastic game with just about everything, apart from goals. It was a fascinating hour of football with two very tactically brilliant teams. In the end it took a dramatic penalty shoot-out for, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, who showed immense mental strength to defeat Capital High School, Unit III to become the champions.

It’s all even in Goa’s College Boys final between Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies and Fr Agnel, after Sai Patil cancelled out Chandan Gawas’ early strike. Elsewhere, we are underway in Bhubaneswar’s Junior Boys final.

The Junior Boys of Rosary HSS couldn't recover after conceding one goal against Progress High School and that's the FT score, Progress High School are the Junior Boys Champions. However, in Bhubaneswar, there were no goals in the second half and the game went into penalties. It was a neck-to-neck fight for the trophy and in Sudden Death, Sai International School got the better of BJB Junior College and won the Championship.

Junior Boys of Rosary HSS are battling it out with Progress High School and at HT, they are still locked at 0-0. Senior Boys in Bhubaneswar are also tied at 1-1 at HT, where BJB Junior College found a 19th equalizer after Sai International School took an early lead.

11: 00 AM
Senior Boys of Rosary HSS have clinched the trophy by beating Govt HSS 4-0. An aggressive second from Rosary HSS was simply too much to handle for their opponents. Meanwhile, School Girls Final didn't see a goal till FT. The match went down the wire and the Govt. Girls High School won it 3-2 on penalties.

At Half-Time, Rosary HSS are leading by a goal to nil in Goa, but the game is still in balance. Comeback on cards for Govt. HSS? In Bhubaneswar, School Girls are still unable to break the deadlock. Elsewhere, Ahmedabad are hosting the Semi-Finals and Hyderabad are hosting the Quarter-Finals. Plenty of action today, to keep a watch on it, check Football Results

Govt. Higher Secondary School are taking on Rosary HSS in Goa's Senior Boys City Championship Final. At the same time, in Bhubaneswar, School Girls of Govt. Girls High School will be facing Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences School in the City Championship Final.
