The fifth event of the day, at 11:00 AM, was the 600 Metre Final in the Sub-Junior Boys category. Mohammed Samad from Kusum Devi Inter College got the first place prize with a run-time of 1:25:06. Second and third place went to players from Guru Gobind Sports College, with Vikas Kumar Patel with a run time of 1:25.48 coming in second and Gyan Singh Yadav with a run time of 1:25.65 bagging third place. 

 

The sixth event of the day, starting at 11:15, was the 800 Meter Final in the College Girls category. Archana M P, representing Christ College grabbed first with a run time of 2:22.49. Janki Devi Memorial College’s Neha Kumari came in second with a time of 2:22.61, just a hair out of first place. The third-place medal went to Namita Pradhan from Seven Hills Resident. Her time was 2:24.57. 

 

The next event of the day, running concurrently with the previous event at 11:15, was the Shot Put final in the College Girls category. Gold went to Paramjot Kumar from Multani Mul Modi College with a put distance of 13.98 meters. Silver belonged to MOP Vaishnav College’s Meenakshi B with a put distance of 11.30 meters. In third place was Ankita Maji from Tarakeswar Degree College. Her put distance was 11.25 meters. 

 

The eighth event of the day, at 11:30 AM, was the 800 Meter Final in the College Boys category. Prakash College’s Atul Nanaso Salunkhe grabbed the gold with a rune time of 1:56.02. The silver went to Christ College’s Saifudheen T. His run time was 1:56.16. Coming in third, just a split second later was Sherin PK from Sree Krishna College with a run time of 1:56.18. 

 

The ninth event of the day, the 400 Meter Final in the Sub-Junior Girls category started at 11:45 AM. Grabbing the gold with a run time of 58:35 was SMVHSS’s Sandra Mol Sabu. In the second place, just a hair behind Sandra was Isha Rajesh Jadhav from Matrix Academy School. Both these players beat the RFYS record for this event. The record was 59.36 previously and is now 58.35. Bronze went Pooja Sree, representing Velammal Matriculation with a time of 1:00.60.
