RFYS Athletics National Championship 2019-20, Day Three Recap, Part 2

The sixth event of the day, in the Senior Boys category, was the Long Jump Final. Coming in first with a jump distance of 7.00 meters, breaking the old RFYS seasons record of 6.99 meters by a hair, was Tushar Manna from Dtea Sr. Sec. School. Sanmath Darshan S from Platos Academy bagged the silver with a jump distance of 6.92 meters. Coming in third, for the bronze, was Chitaranjan R from Sri Ramakrishna Matriculation with a jump distance of 6.81 meters.

The next event of the day was the 1500 Meter Final in the Senior Girls category. In the first place, with a runtime of 4:45.64, breaking the old RFYS seasons record of 4:52.31, was Kajal Sharma from Nari Shiksha Niketan. The silver was nabbed by Chanthini C from Kalladi HSS. Her runtime was 4:49.92. The bronze went to Annasaheb Vartak College’s Archana Laxman Jadhav with a runtime of 5:03.55 seconds.

 

The eight-event of the day was the 600 Meter Final in the Sub-Junior Girls category. Nari Shiksha Niketan’s Garima Yadav bagged the gold with a runtime of 1:41.90 seconds. The silver was awarded to Girijasri Balambika S from Sri Jnanakshi Vidyan for a runtime of 1:43.51. In third place, with a runtime of 1:44.13 seconds was Hiranandani Foundation’s Eva Manoj.

 

The 400 Meter Final in the Sub-Junior Boys category was the ninth event of the day. Leading the pack with a runtime of 52.36 seconds was Mohd Samad from Kusum Devi Inter College. Coming in second, for the silver, was Abhishek Pal from R.K Inter College with a runtime of 52.80 seconds. The bronze was awarded to Queen AS Inter College’s Abhay Singh for a time of 53.10 seconds.

 

The tenth event of the day was the 400 Meter Final in the College Boys category. The gold was bagged by CRA College’s Amit Balayan. He had a runtime of 48.91 seconds. In the second place, for the silver, with a runtime of 49.47 seconds was Nilesh P from SRM Institute of Science. The bronze went to Ansh Ansh from SGTB Khalsa College. He had a runtime of 49.52 seconds.

 

The 11th event of the day, in the Junior Boys category, was the Shot Put Final. Bir Rehmat Singh Dhindsa from Government Multipurpose School got the gold with a put distance of 16.56 meters. In second place with a put distance of 14.82 meters, was Lakshay Lakshay from GGS Public School. Rounding out the top three with a put distance of 14.51 meters was Telangana Minorities School’s Mohd Mohsin Qureshi.
