RFYS Athletics National Championship 2019-20, Day Three Recap, Part 5
The 22nd event of the day, in the Junior Girls category, was the Javelin Throw Final. The gold went to Aiswaraya Suresh from CHMHSS. Her throw distance was 34.35 meters, breaking the previous RFYS seasons record of 33 meters. In second place with a throw distance of 27.15 meters was Aarushi Shristava from Vagdevi Vilas School. Rounding the top three was Seema Seema from GSSS with a throw distance of 26.62 meters.

The next event of the day was the 200 Meter Final in the Senior Girls category. In first place was Harita Bhadra from Ramnivas Ruia Junior with a runtime of 25.98 seconds. The silver was awarded to St. Joseph HSS’s Treesa Mathew. She has a runtime of 26.74 seconds. The third place was awarded to Rima Bhoi from S.R.D.M.N Panchayat with a runtime of 26.83 seconds.
The 24th event of the day, in the Sub-Junior Girls category, was the 100 Meter Final. The gold was bagged by Lakshdham High School’s Siya Abhijit Sawant with a runtime of 12.75 seconds. Subhashree Parida from MBS Public School got the silver with a runtime of 12.99 seconds. Rounding out the top three with a runtime of 13.21 seconds was Shreyasi Biswas from Lokhandwala Foundation.
The second to last event of the day, in the Junior Boys category, was the 100 Meter Final. The first place award belonged to Nikhil Soam from GBSSS with a runtime of 11.26 seconds. In second place was Krishnu Das from Ramnarayanpur ACS with a runtime of 11.44 seconds. With a runtime of 11.45 seconds, the bronze was nabbed by N S International School’s Jatin Chaudhary.
The last event of the day was the 100 Meter Final in the Junior Girls category. Dishani Ganguly from Khalatpur High got the gold with a runtime of 12.44 seconds. In second place was Neolo Anna Cornelio from St. Francis Xavier Girls School with a runtime of 12.48 seconds. Rounding out the top three was Green Field Public School’s Pooja Kumare with a runtime of 12.70 seconds.
