Commonwealth Games 2026: Cricket, Hockey, Wrestling Among Sports Dropped

Major sporting disciplines like badminton, hockey, table tennis and wrestling have been dropped from the roster for the 2026 Commonwealth Games the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) announced earlier this week. This comes after the Scottish city of Glasgow was shortlisted as the next host of the event in two years time.

Ambani, leading Indian philanthropist and Founder of the Reliance Foundation has been re-elected unanimously as the IOC from India at the 142nd IOC session in Paris that is currently underway, winning unanimously with 100% of the vote.
