Lastly, she won a silver medal in the 4x100m relay event as she ran for Team Andhra Pradesh and finished second with a time of 46.61s. To add a cherry on the top, Jyothi also won the best female athlete of the championship award.

Last time around Tejas Shirse got disqualified in the finals of the 110m hurdles event after stumbling on some of the hurdles in Chennai. He has also been battling injury problems for a few months. However, Tejas proved his mettle this time around as he clinched the gold medal in the same event with a timing of 13.87s to complete his comeback in fine style

Men's 4x100m Relay Team

The 62nd National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships 2023 ended on a golden note as we bagged two gold medals courtesy of Amlan Borgohain and Jinson Johnson. Amlan took centre stage in the 200m event to claim gold finishing the race in 20.71s. His incredible performance broke the meet record but just fell short of the Asian Games qualification standards. Jinson Johnson too secured the top spot in the 1500m event recording a time of 3:42.77s and met the Asian Games standards ending the meet on a joyous note.

It was a wonderful time for all our RF Supported and HPC athletes. Many athletes despite not winning any medals, did exceptionally well and qualified through all the rounds and reached the finals. We wish the athletes all the best for the Asian Games and the other upcoming competitions
