Kushal Dalal | The Making of a Fearless Archer | Reliance Foundation Sports
Coming from a farmer’s family in Haryana, Kushal was first taken to the stadium simply to work on his fitness. Boxing was his first option, but he quickly realized it wasn’t for him. Then came archery - and with his very first throw, something clicked.
What began almost by chance soon became a passion. Kushal found himself drawn to the sport’s quiet surroundings, its mental demands and the ability to stay composed under pressure. With the support of his family and coaches, he continued to grow, moving from state and national competitions to the international stage.
In 2025, Kushal was part of the Indian U-21 compound men’s team that won India’s first-ever Junior World title in the event. He also went on to win individual gold at the GT Open in Luxembourg, marking his first major indoor title.
Behind every achievement is a family that has stood firmly behind him - from travelling long distances for training to his grandfather keeping a diya lit at home whenever Kushal competes. With the support of Reliance Foundation helping ease the burden of training and competition, Kushal can now focus on what matters most: becoming better with every arrow.
Now, with the #AsianGames2026 ahead, Kushal is ready to take on the biggest stage of his career so far - with his sights set on making every arrow count.
