Reliance Foundation Sports athlete Satwiksairaj Rankireddy has come a long way from the small town of Amalapuram, where his journey began with early morning runs, skipped school days and a dream he never imagined would take him this far.
His father was one of the first people to see something in him. From teaching him the basics of doubles to dreaming of seeing Indian players succeed on the world stage, his influence shaped Satwik’s journey in more ways than one.
At just 15, Satwik and Chirag were told they had the potential to reach the world's top 10. What followed was a remarkable rise, from winning the Nationals and Thomas Cup to the Asian Games and eventually becoming World No. 1.
But for Satwik, the journey has always been about more than rankings and titles. It is about the people who believed in him, the team behind him, the lessons along the way and the dreams he still carries for the next generation back home.
Now, with the Asian Games 2026 ahead, Satwik is ready for another big challenge, with his focus firmly on the team, the tournament and what comes next.
