RFYS 2019-20 season is in full swing!

Surging ahead with the motto of #LeaveNoTalentBehind, the RFYS Football Championship 2019-20 has seen participants from all across the country battling it out for footballing glory.

Surging ahead with the motto of #LeaveNoTalentBehind, the RFYS Football Championship 2019-20 has seen participants from all across the country battling it out for footballing glory. With over 1800 matches already played across 29 championship centers, the city stage of the tournament is reaching the business end and all teams are showcasing their best talent on the pitch in order to progress further and make it to the city finals. In its 4th season, the tournament has reached out to over 90+ cities and 32+ championship centers. This has also led to multiple new regions getting added to the RFYS platform such as Vizag, Kohima, Patna, Dharamshala, Madurai, Nagpur and Bhopal. Beyond the new regions, the tournament has reached out to the Sub-Junior Boys category to identify talent at a much younger age group and is a testament to the mission of leaving no talent behind.

Group stages have already begun in a few cities with Ahmedabad kicking off the group stage with St. Xaviers College, Navrangpura, Nirma University, Ganpat University, Amrut Mody and Kadi Sarva Vishwa Vidyalaya currently are leading the standings in their respective groups in the College Boys Category. Mizoram is also half way through with Govt Chaltlang High School and Holy Faith School in Junior Boys category and Mount Carmel School, Govt Chaltlang Higher Secondary School, Bazar Veng Higher Secondary School Lunglei and Silver Mount School in the Senior Boys category currently leading the standings in their respective groups.

At the individual front, Amanullahahkhan Pathan from Chaitanya School Ahmedabad is the current leader for the Golden Boot awards. Avnish Sinh Nilkanth Sinh Vaghela from Zydus School for Excellence - Godhavi and Mohit Dinesh Joshi from Gyandeep Hindi High School, Sabarmati, are currently heading the Golden Ball and Golden Glove rankings in the Senior Boys Category. In Mizoram in the Senior Boys Category, Lal Hriatpuia of Springfield Higher Secondary and Lalrinhlua Hlua from Government Leitlangpui Hss is currently leading the Golden Ball and Golden Boot rankings respectively while Joel Lalramchhana from Bazar Veng Higher Secondary School Lunglei is at the top of the Golden Glove standings. In the School Girls category, Mount Carmel School’s Gospel Vanlalsawmi is the contender for the Golden Ball and Van Lalnghaki from Cael Academy is currently leading the Golden Ball standings. Govt Chaltlang Higher Secondary School’s Kros Laldinmawii is currently holding on to the Golden Gloves leaderboard.

The season is still picking the pace and now moving into the city finals stage. The first set of upcoming city finals matches will happen at Aizawl, Dehradun, Meghalaya, Imphal and Dimapur where all matches will be broadcast and live streamed on Facebook and the Website.
